Our Staff & Volunteers

Dr. Anne Grenn Saldinger has been the Executive Director of the Bay Area Holocaust Oral History Project since 1998. Under her leadership, BAHOHP has continued to record and archive over 1,700 oral testimonies and has become a contributing organization to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Dr. Saldinger holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, and has extensively researched the psychological effects of bearing witness for aging Holocaust survivors. Using her research experience, Dr. Saldinger has presented numerous papers on the significance of Holocaust testimony at international conferences. She has also used oral history excerpts in her supplemental text for young people: Life in a Nazi Concentration Camp (in The Way People Live Series: San Diego: Lucent Books, 2001).

Debbie Kahn, BAHOHP's Archive Manager, has a Masters Degree in History from San Francisco State University. Her focus is on combining technology with history to make information more readily available to the public.

Board of Directors:

Dr. Miriam Zimmerman, Board President, is Professor Emerita, Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. She continues to teach a course on the Holocaust and has presented numerous Holocaust-related research papers at international conferences including the International Conference on the Holocaust at Yad Vashem (Israel).
